She was predeceased by: her parents, William Baumann and Anna Baumann (Lauenstein); her husband Jarold Schmer; her sons, Ronald and Steven; her stepmother Francis Oswald Baumann; and her siblings, Florence Mateja, Velma Sutton, Glenn Baumann and Mervin Baumann.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Gertie Schmer of Sutton, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Mike Schmer of Sutton, Nebraska and Laura Weaver (Randy) of Fairmont, Nebraska; her great grandchild McKenna Schmer of Hastings, Nebraska; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Shelby Weaver of Lincoln, Neb and Colton Weaver (Katharine) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her sister Norma Hernandez of San Diego, California; and her sister-in-law Sharon Baumann of Omaha, Nebraska. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
