She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Hofmann and Louise Hofmann; her father-in-law Simeon Griess; her brother-in-law Charles Carlson; and her nephews, Jeffery Griess and John Carlson.
She is survived by: her husband Ronald S. Griess; her daughter Sophie Carlson (Adam); her sisters, Elizabeth Carlson, Luella Griess (Don C.) and Esther Griess (Don Rein); her mother-in-law Anna Griess; her siblings-in-law, Ted Griess (Shirley), Ruth Huber (Milton) of Sutton, Kathy Douglas (Harold) of Sutton and Kurt Griess (Renae) of Aurora, NE; and her friends, Derek, Robin, Lily, Briley and Keaton Griess of Sutton, NE. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Hope Reformed Church or the Sutton Community Home Foundation.
