He was predeceased by: his mother Carolyn May Gumm (Bates). He is survived by: his father Robert Gumm; his sister Amy; his brother-in-law Scott Wittke; his brother Darrel Gumm of Superior; his nieces, Taylor and Ellie Wittke of Lincoln, Nebraska; his aunts, Jean Ann Whitaker of Mankato and Mary Ann Bates of Superior, Nebraska; and his uncle Steve Bates of Wichita, Kansas.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Superior Country Club (400 NE-14, Superior, NE 68978).
