It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Disney of Superior, Nebraska, who passed away on November 23, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William H. Cortney and Sabina C. Cortney (Costelloe); her husband Norman Disney; her son Michael Disney; and her siblings, Jim Cortney, Thomas Cortney, Mary Cortney, Bernard Cortney, William Cortney, Dennis Jerome Cortney, John Cortney and Anna Marie Domling.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Disney, Patricia Henderson (Scott) of Columbia, MO, Lisa Baxa (Karl) of Cuba, KS and Catherine Disney; her grandchildren, Brian Henderson (Hilary Baker-Jennings) of Medford, MA, Matthew Henderson of Greenwood Village, CO, Nickalous Baxa of Cuba, KS and Amanda Baxa of Cuba, KS.; her great grandchild Genevieve Baker-Henderson; and her sister Kathleen Selig of Fairbury, NE. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Superior, NE, the Southern Nebraska Arts Council (Crest Theater), Simic Recreation Association (Roller Rink), or donate to a food pantry of your choice.
