With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Charles (Superior, Nebraska), who passed away on March 8, 2021 at the age of 105. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jean Charles to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Kendig and Angie Kendig; her former husband Norman Shirley; her brother Warren Kendig; her husband Donald Charles; her children, Michael Charles and Nancy Gabriel (Charles); and her grandson Evan Charles.
She is survived by: her son John Charles of Republic; and her grandchildren, Christie Kairos (Sunny) of Portland, Dane Petersen (Jill Nienhiser) of Kansas City, Hayes Charles (Keri) of Coon Rapids and Hayley Charles of Denver. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID concerns, the family plans to hold a memorial service at a later date.
Memorials may be made in Jean's name to the United Methodist Church of Republic and the Republic Pioneers 4-H club through Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Neb.
