Terry H. Wempen Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Terry H. Wempen of Sumner, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 30, 2024 at the age of 71. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Terry H. Wempen to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Wempen and Reva Wempen (Steinhauser); his in-laws, Donald and Janice Pfeiffer; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Welch and Pam Handy.
He is survived by: his wife Pam Wempen of Sumner; his daughters, Carmen Wempen of Sumner and Cara Wempen of Kearney; his grandchildren, Mercadise Wempen-Lechleitner of Sumner, Donna, John Wood of Holdrege, Shawna, Nathan Booton of Kearney, Tanner Lechleitner of Broken Bow, Braiden Wempen of Elm Creek, Noah Stephens of Kearney and Izabella Stephens of Kearney; his great grandchildren, Presley, Gracelynn Wood of Holdrege, Waylon, Emmalynn and Brynleigh Booton of Kearney; and his sisters, Janet Furry of Sumner, Nancy (Wayne Todd), Cindy (Jeff Elliott) and Joyce (Charlie Ripp). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services (2421 Avenue A, Kearney, NE 68847). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church - Sumner (407 Oak St, Sumner, NE 68878).
