She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Deterding of Arnold and Louise Deterding of Arnold; her husband Tom; her daughter Rebecca Wilcox; and her siblings, Stanley, Delpha and Joy.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rebecca Ann, Sara Jayne and Sara Arow of Lincoln. She is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Lincoln Children's Zoo, 1222 South 27th Street, Lincoln, NE 68502, for the bird habitat in honor of LaVerda.
