He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie E. Hemenway and LeEtta Hemenway (Wolf); and his grandson Austin Hemenway. He is survived by: his children, Cynthia and Eddie; his wife Barbara K. McCauley of Sumner; his children, Dalene Bricker (Chris) of Westminster, Cyndi Hoyt (James) of Lexington, Ed Hemenway (Theresa) of Sumner and Brandon Hemenway (Patricia) of Henry, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Dan Hoyt (Kathy) of Overland Park, Aaron Hoyt (Jennifer) of Lexington, Ethan Hemenway of Henry, Caitlain Bricker of Westminster and Joshua Bricker of Westminster, Colorado; his great grandchildren, Cameron and Declan of Lexington; his siblings, Velma Craig of Cozad and Larry Hemenway (Carol) of Paxton; and his brother-in-law Richard Torske (Karen) of Stuart, Florida. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials are suggested to the Sumner Volunteer Fire Department or to the Family for later designation.
