He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Harry Helenbolt and Hazel Murl Helenbolt (Thibault); his wife Carol; his son Jody; his sisters, Joy (Julius) and Patricia; and his brother-in-law Cary Schlotman.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Hytrek (Gary) of Long Beach, CA, Lori Schaaf of Long Beach, CA, Kerry Ogden of Kingsley, IA, Monie Paro (Bob) of Omaha, NE, Julie Helenbolt of Lincoln, NE and John (Jennifer) of Tucson, AZ; his siblings-in-law, Elaine Noonen (John) of Ankeny, IA and John Peterson (Melinda) of Omaha, NE; his grandchildren, Terry, Joni Ogden, Dustin, Daniel Schaaf, Alex, Jenna Hytrek, Jacob, Jered Murphy, Jasmine Helenbolt, Tina Cruickshank and Travis Wilson; and his great grandchildren, Bailey Ogden, Kennedy Cruickshank and Bowen Schaaf.
