She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Kuipers and Grace Kuipers (Dantuma); her husband Alfred C. Kempkes; her children-in-law, Guy Mulder, Ted Bailey, James Harms and Deborah Kempkes; her great grandchildren, Jacob Dugan and Blake Masur; her siblings, Maynard Kuipers (Gladys), Genevieve Sauer (Lawrence), Dorothy Yohn (George), John Kuipers, Martin Voigt and Richard Kuipers, Jr.; her parents-in-law, Anton and Magdalene Kempkes; and her siblings-in-law, Norman Kempkes (Joyce), Leo Ullsperger, Bernadine Wusk (George), Loretta Miller (Earl) and Leona Pella (Joe).
She is survived by: her children, Robert Kempkes (Janice) of Sandown, NH, Donald Kempkes of Lincoln, Patricia Harms of Adams, Rose Mary VerMaas (Darrel) of Hickman, Richard Kempkes (Ardi) of Douglas, David Kempkes (Ann) of Imperial, Marilyn Bailey of Dwight and Christine Adams (Gary) of Berthoud, CO; her sister Hilda Voigt; and her sisters-in-law, Arlene Kuipers and Agnes Ullsperger. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and their spouses; 38 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family's choice.
