He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence E. Thompson and Lottie B. Thompson (Hendee); his wife Susan Kay Hafits; and his siblings, Patricia, Vicki and Harland.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tonnya Figueroa (Bob) of Nickerson and Tabitha Austin (Mike) of Omaha, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Halely, Dylan, Connor Stone, Makena Austin, Turner Harnett, Zach D. Thompson, Keona Thompson, Chris O'Connor and Zeana Cusek; and his great grandchildren, Dmitri Peters, Natalie Harnett, Andra Thompson, Charleigh, Calum Cusek, Amelia Stone, Emmett Stone and Chloe Wiseman.
