He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Chauncie Fenton and Flossie Bass; his wife Inez Bass; his brother Jack Bass; his children, Randy Bass (Joan) of Culbertson and Katherine "Katie" Bass (Dave Malnar); his grandchildren, Parker, Reece of Lincoln, Courtney Quint (Emery), Autumn of McCook, Alexis of McCook, Austin of McCook and Margaret "Maggie" Repass (Scott) of McCook; his sons, Larry "Red" Bass of McCook and Jordan Bass (Robin); his grandchildren, Julian and Charlotte of Lawrence, KS; and his sister Geraldine Lambrecht of Shreveport, LA. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
