She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Hardlannert and Elmer Hardlannert; and her husband Robert Vickery. She is survived by: her children, Robert "David" Vickery Jr. (Paige) of Laguna Nigel and Alison Rider of Omaha; and her grandchildren, Jason Vickery (Susi) of Temecula, CA, Joshua Vickery of Omaha, Aaron Rider (Melissa) of Omaha, Adrian Rider (Sarah) of Omaha, Andy Rider (Rachel) of Omaha, Courtney Vickery (Steve Massa) of San Clemente, CA and Megan Rider of Seattle, WA. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.

For many years she served on the board of the Hattie B. Monroe Foundation and delivered Meals on Wheels to the elderly and housebound.
