He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Herman and Elizabeth Ellen Dahlkoetter (Brooke); his wife Sandra Whitehurst; and his brother-in-law Greg Kirsch. He is survived by: his children, Christy Clay (Michael) of Bassett, NE, Kenney Dahlkoetter of Stanton, NE and Clifford Dahlkoetter (Blanca) of Blue Springs, NE; his grandchildren, Landon Dahlkoetter, Elijah Clay, Andrea Dahlkoetter, Lucas Clay and Isaiah Dahlkoetter; and his siblings, Gale Dahlkoetter of Homer, NE and Sharlyn Kirsch of Norfolk, NE. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews as well as various great-nieces and nephews.
