He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Mendlik and Delores Mendlik (Ritter); his stepmother Alverna; his brother-in-law Bud Vakiner; and his stepsiblings, Lovonne Frickenstein and Robert Belsky.
He is survived by: his wife Tammy Pacas of Stanton; his children, Terry Mendlik (Heidi) of Stanton, Rhonda Miller (Lonnie) of Brunswick, Georgia, Yolanda Clinch (Tom), DJ Mendlik of Norfolk and Tim Mendlik (Shelby) of Norfolk; his siblings, Duane Mendlik (Sandy) of Wisner, Randy Mendlik (Ilene) of Elkhorn, Donna Vakiner of Snyder, Janet Krienert of Scribner and Cheryl Vacha (Mike) of Hooper; and his stepsiblings, Randy Belsky (Barb) of David City and Luanne Ortmeier (Randy) of West Point. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
