Adam Staib Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Adam Staib of Stanton, Nebraska, who passed away on November 21, 2024 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Adam Staib to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Staib and Magdalena Staib (Boetsch); his wife Rosalind Lamson; his siblings, Bernie Staib, Irene Spencer, Anne Gates and Eddie Staib; and his nephews, Ben Staib and Brett Staib.
He is survived by: his sister Violet Bessey (Omaha); and his nieces and nephews, David Gates of Napa California, Michael Gates of Denver Colorado, Bonnie Schulz of Battle Creek and JoAnne Zautke of Norfolk.
The destructive Northeast Nebraska floods of March 2019 followed by the Covid shutdown in 2020 were extremely challenging for the restaurant.
Under the management of Roz and Adam, The Uptown was unique and a progressive contribution to the City of Norfolk.
