She was predeceased by: her husband Marvin Lee Covey; her granddaughter Amber Renee Covey; her great grandchildren, Katie and Courtney Skiles; her sons-in-law, John Kesler and Larry Wilbur; her brothers, Walter Reynolds and Franklin Reynolds (Ruth); her parents-in-law, Jesse and Lola Covey; and her siblings-in-law, Virginia Kirts, Charles Dunn and Robert Covey (Naomi).
She is survived by: her siblings, Earl and Lillian Reynolds (Hager); her children, Marva Jo, Susan Kay, Dorothy Lee, Kathleen Rhea, Michael Robert (Kim) of Holdrege, Jo Covey of Stamford, Sue Keslar of Oxford, Dot Wilbur of Holdrege and Kathy Barnes (Darrell) of Newman Grove; and her sister Dorothy Dunn. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren: 46 great-grandchildren: 5 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in Verda's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
