She was predeceased by: her daughter Candace Schuler; and her nephew Joshua Schuler. She is survived by: her daughter Katelynn Bernice (Nathan) of Texas; her husband Roger Akins of Stamford; her daughter Alizabeth Young of Stamford; her grandchildren, Noah Aaron Tapp and Ericka Noteboom; and her sister June Calkins. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in Tammy's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
