Galen Ehrke Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 7, 2021, at the age of 72, Galen Ehrke of Stamford, Nebraska, born in McCook, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Christopher; his brother Kent Ehrke; and his siblings-in-law, Douglas Loewenstein and Sharon Pape. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Pape of Stamford; his children, Shanna Hammond (Trevor) of Long Island, Kansas, Nicholas Ehrke (Jenna) of Denver, Colorado and Todd Ehrke (Megan) of Hickman, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Makenna, Aidan, Owen Hammond, Amelia, Eva Ehrke and Harrison Ehrke; his siblings, Karon Rodgers (Bil) of Utica, Nebraska, Karna Loewenstein (Tom Rymph) of Council Bluffs, Iowa, John Ehrke (Linda) of Stamford, Ken Ehrke (Steve Grenzow) of Arlington, Texas, Don Ehrke (Margi) of Alma and Jerry Ehrke (Jodi) of Alma; and his siblings-in-law, Joane Olson (Larry) of Holdrege, Diane Ramsey (Norm) of Loveland, Colorado and Stanley Pape (Pamela) of Lexington, Nebraska. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial has been established in Galen's honor and kindly suggested to the Stamford Fire and Rescue.
