He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee L. Fowler, Sr. and Mary (Kastl); his sister-in-law Claudia Fowler (Wheeler); and his pets, Hank, Gunner and Cody.

He is survived by: his wife Laurie; his daughters, Melissa and Meagan; his siblings, Mary Pat Kuppig (Kirk), Doak Fowler (Tamara), Peggy Vaughan, Tom Fowler, Terry Fowler, Jim Fowler and Frank Fowler (Sharon); his parents-in-law, Jack Pugh and Kathleen (Trombly); his sisters-in-law, Linda Lundy and Lisa Tillman; and his friend March. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Springfield United Methodist Youth Group.
