She was predeceased by: her parents, E. E. Woods and Marie Woods; and her sister Betty Tuttle. She is survived by: her children, Rick Colwell (Eena) of Sioux City, Randy Colwell (Pam), Rob Colwell (Deb) of Branson, Tiffany Millikan (Johnny) of Hawarden and Tara Andrews (Justin) of Omaha, Nebraska.; and her grandchildren, Riley Colwell, Alec Colwell, Nate Colwell, Sarah Colwell, Drake Millikan, Colton Andrews, Avery Millikan, Kennedy Andrews and Emaan Colwell.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sunnybrook Church (5601 Sunnybrook Dr, Sioux City, IA 51106). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA) in honor of Shirley Colwell. Contributions can be made at dementiasociety.org.
