He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Leiting and Dorothy Leiting (Griffith); his wife Marilyn Fonder; and his brothers, Dennis, Terry, David and Tony.
He is survived by: his close friend Diane Boyd-Wittrock; his sons, Joel Leiting of Sioux City and Brian Leiting (Molly); his siblings, Mary Leiting Simmons of Council Bluffs, Richard Leiting (Linda) of Louisville and Lynn Leiting (Shannon) of Gretna; and his grandchildren, Bailee, Alexa, Spencer, Lucas, Trevor, Elle, Kate and Faith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and his faithful furry companion.
