He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Jager and Elizabeth Jager (Fey); his wife Josephine Martens; his brother Leon Jager; his grandsons, Jeremy Jager and Jason Jager; and his great grandchild Samuel Kazos.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Pinney (Jim), Cindy Askew (Randy), Terry Jager (Jenni) and Jenny Holborn (Clark); his grandchildren, Jon Jager (Gena), Jessica Kazos (Alex), Andy Pinney (Erin), Michelle Buchholz (Kevin), Eric Askew, Andy Askew and Sam Askew; his brother Richard Jager (Jeanette); and his sister-in-law Luann Jager. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel (6200 Morningside Ave, Sioux City, IA 51106). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at the Rose Hill Cemetery W. 6th.
