He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Petersen and Elmer Petersen. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Petersen of Sioux City; and his children, Pamela (Gary Carlton) of Sioux City, Steve Petersen of Lisle and Mike (Claudia Petersen) of Lubbock, Texas. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; three great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
