Patrick Melvin Bennett Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patrick Melvin Bennett of South Sioux City, Nebraska, who passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Bennett and Ellen "Nellie" Bennett; his sister Sheila Meyers; his parents-in-law, Marley Haney and Robert Haney; his niece Rochelle Wiedeman; and his nephew Jason Luettgen.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hillegas-Bennett; his children, Paxton Bennett (Tiffany) and Brent Bennett (Lynn) of Pierson, IA; his former wife Kris Haney Weber; his stepchildren, Jamie Jenkinson and Adam Jenkinson of Arkansas; and his siblings, Frank Bennett and Ellen Wiedeman. He is also survived by numerous friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel (3220 Stone Park Blvd, Sioux City, IA 51104). A memorial service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Steinbeck's Pub (3929 Floyd Blvd, Sioux City, IA 51108).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to The Boys of '68, the oldest men's club in the Siouxland area, of which Pat was a long-time dedicated member.
