He is survived by: his former wife Karen Sakariason; his children, Karisa Foix (Joel) of Sioux City, Kelly Pitts of Sioux City and Nathan "Nate" Pitts (Missy) of Hinton, IA; his grandchildren, Riley Foix, Chase Foix, Stella VonderLieth, Nate Pitts Jr. and Eric Pitts; and his siblings, Judy Hutchins (Joel), Susan Quinn (Jim), Craig Pitts (Barb), Gary Pitts (Vickie), Theresa Saltsgiver, Chris Pitts and Dawna Nelson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
