He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Wendt and Helen Wendt (Steppat); his sisters, Margie, Dorothy and Delores; and his great grandchild Paige.
He is survived by: his former wife Lois Lau; his wife Lois Wendt; his children, LaDonna Plucker (Gene) of Las Vegas, Mark Wendt (Chris) of Sioux Falls, Annette LeGrande (Dan) of Lincoln, Scott Wendt (Kenna) of Sioux City and Steve Wendt (Lori) of Sioux Falls; and his sister Arline Verson of Elkhorn, Nebraska. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to Hope Lutheran Church or St. Paul's Lutheran School.
