He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Jose Amador Morales and Pascuala; his sister Lionela Amador Cruz; his mother-in-law Gregoria Rodriguez Lopez; and his brother-in-law Uriel Rodriguez.
He is survived by: his wife Marta E. Rodriguez De Amador; his children, Isabel, Gabriela, Diana Amador and Juan Jose Amador; his siblings, Isidro, Heriberto, Constantino, Magdalena, Rafaela, Estebana and Honduras; and his father-in-law Ismael Rodriguez Ponce. He is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.
