She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph "Rudy" and Katherine Drost (Harmelink); her former husband Mike Steig; her husband Lewis Pippitt; her stepmother Doris Drost; and her stepsiblings, Ken Bouma and Betsy Urbas.

She is survived by: her sister Rhonda Klave; and her children, Hope, Holly Pippit and Richard Pippitt. She is also survived by three grandchildren, sister and brother in law many friends.
