He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Neesen and Christina Neesen (Wordekemper); his parents-in-law, Ernest and Rose Harms; his brother Hilary Neesen; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Gasperini (Mario) and Janetta Harms.
He is survived by: his wife Eveline Harms; his children, David Neesen (Darcy) of Stafford, VA, Linda Hofmann (Jerry) of Tabor, SD, Michael Neesen (Jennifer) of Mansfield, TX, Thomas Neesen (Marina) of Deferiet, NY, Junelle Lopour (David Ough) of Leigh, Patrick Neesen (Kim) of Norfolk, William "Bill" Neesen (Sheryl) of Prescott, AZ and Joel Neesen (Tammi) of Omaha; his sister Lorraine Schlautman (Dusty) of West Point; and his sister-in-law Marlene Neesen of Omaha. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Snyder Fire and Rescue and Parkinson's Research.
