He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Carl, Henrietta Schwindt, August and Sarah Stahla; his uncle Jim Schwindt; his aunt Charlotte Schwindt; and his cousin Nicki Schwindt.
He is survived by: his parents, Kathy Stahla (Schwindt) of Smithfield and Ed Stahla; his children, Marissa C. Fairbanks (Derek) of Winston and Erik A. Stahla of Springfield, Oregon; his grandchildren, Carmen R and Colin L. Fairbanks of Winston, Oregon; his sister Pamela Stahla Kernin (Michael) of Sitka, Alaska; his niece Nichel Kernin Allen (Chance) of Un, Alaska; his nephew Alex Kernin of Sitka; his great-nephew Parker Allen of Un, Alaska; his aunts and uncles, Ron Schwindt (Connie) of Mesa, Ron Stahla (Mary) of Lexington, Byron Stahla (Jeanne) of Plano and Betty Kibby of Durango, Colorado; and his pet Romeo. He is also survived by cousins, extended family and friends.
A memorial has been established in Scott's honor, and kindly suggested to the Dawson County Relay For Life.
