He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Brandenburger and Clara Brandenburger (Duester); his siblings, Edward Brandenburger (Beverly), Raymond Brandenburger (Charlotte), Laura Tarnick (John) and Lloyd; and his brother-in-law Dominic Borowiak.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Johnson; his children, Daniel Brandenburger (Michele) of Glenvil, Robert Brandenburger of Aurora, CO, Kevin Brandenburger (Cheryl) of Lincoln, Timothy Brandenburger (Jane) of Madison, Michelle Price (Enis) of Rockwell, IA and Steven Brandenburger (Dorothy) of Silver Creek; and his sister Genevieve Borowiak of Grand Island. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
