He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Edna Spike (Ream); his wife Sandra Haase; his father Walter Spike; and his sisters, Betty and Judy.
He is survived by: his friend Harry; his sons, Jeff Haase (Jin) of Lincoln and Chuck Haase (Joyce) of Grand Island; his grandchildren, Stacey Frankel (Clay) of Kissimmee, Laura Hoffman (Adam) of Concord, NC, Ashley Burson (Josh) of Lincoln, Ryan Haase (E. J.) of Minneapolis, Jason Haase (Daniela) of Minneapolis and Rachel Haase of Minneapolis; his great grandchildren, Sydney, Alexander, Spencer Frankel, Easton, Emerson, Boston Hoffman, Brianna, Brysen, Brynley, Brookley Burson, Chloe, Paige, Emma Haase, Gian, Amelia and Giulia Haase; his siblings, Darlene Fischer of Fairmont, Wayne Spike (Virginia) of Cedar Rapids and Kevin Spike of Saronville; and his sister-in-law Pat Olsen of Lincoln. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
