He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, David Guggenmos and Hazel Guggenmos (Philbrick); his brother Darrell Guggenmos (Ellen) of Taylor, Nebraska.; and his children, Janet (Brian Jeffries), Joel (Kathy Gandy), JoAnna (Chuck Aprill), John (Timur Loynab) and Jean. He was also cherished by child and second son born to his parents.

In lieu of flowers, he wanted donations to Mayo Clinic.
