He was predeceased by: his parents, Erick Reinhold (Ed) and Mary Christine Kurth (Schneider); his wife Judy Lee Fristrom; and his brothers, Melvin, Everett, Elmer and Phillip.
He is survived by: his sister Shirley Barnica of Longmont, CO; and his children, Kevin (Dee Kurth) of Chappell, NE, Torrey (Christa Kurth) of Rice Lake, WI and Valerie (Beau Rauner) of Grand Forks, ND. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
