She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Engel and Elizabeth Allroggen Engel; and her siblings, Genevieve, Rita and John.
She is survived by: her husband Dr. Daniel J. Garcia "Jim"; and her children, Jay Garcia (Julie Carleen), Ann Hoekstra (David), Sally Guthart (Richard), Gretchen Wagner (Joseph), Paul Garcia (Renee) and Jean Morris (Shaun).
Memorials may be given to Siena Francis House (sienafrancis.org) serving the homeless, King's Daughters (P.O. Box 823, Sidney, NE), and St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
