With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carrie C Balfour of Sidney, Nebraska, born in Nebraska City, Nebraska, who passed away on March 8, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Conkling and Cordelia Conkling (Fields); her uncle Herbert Fields; her aunt Carolyn; and her sister Marvel Gillespie.

She is survived by: her husband Robert R. Balfour; and her children, Robert R. Balfour Jr. (Janine) of Boise, ID, Rodger Balfour of Sidney, NE, Brian Balfour (Susan) of Casper, WY, Janelle Balfour, Martha Gibbs of Sidney, NE, Ross Balfour (Sage) of San Antonio, TX and Mary Meyer of Sidney, NE.. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Folds Of Honor and PEO in honor of Carrie.
