It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carl Houston Farmer Jr. of Sidney, Nebraska, born in Denver, Colorado, who passed away on October 14, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Farmer and Violet Farmer (Delve); his stepmother Pearl Farmer (Farrell); and his siblings, Wanda Kaduk, Carletta Burton, Beverly Nightingale and Duane.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Hart (Roos); his children, Vi Garcia of Denver, CO, Pamela (Kevin Hinrichs) of Brighton, CO and Anthony (Sue Farmer) of Rye, NH; his stepchildren, Tina Nadeau of Yuma, AZ, Julie (Sam Peinado) of Cedar City, UT, Kathy Stevens of Sidney, NE, Scott (Meg Nadeau) of Torrington, WY and Doug (Rita Hart) of Sidney, NE.; and his brother Marvin (Barbi Farmer) of Northfield, MN. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel (1140 10th Ave, Sidney, NE 69162). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Faith Methodist Church (2622 11th Ave, Sidney, NE 69162).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for future designation.
