She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Westerhoff and Geneva Westerhoff (Larson); and her sons-in-law, Ed Soule and Don Moench. She is survived by: her former spouse Douglass D. Smith; her daughters, Deanne (Carl Ellingson) of Benson, AZ, Vicki (Robert Hilpert) of Potter and Robin (Greg Prochazka) of Lincoln; her husband Doug; her daughters, Kay Soule of Gering and Patty Moench of Potter; and her sisters, Wanda Bush of Kimball and Eileen Markland of Colorado. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Dalton Fire Department, Festival of Hope (for cancer), or to the donor's choice.
