She was predeceased by: her parents, Joyce Johnson and Ken Johnson; her grandson Richard Gibney; her sister-in-law Colleen Compton (Piehl); her aunts, Birdie Jacobsen and Rose McCamly; her nephew Scott Verbeck; and also Bennett Hille.
She is survived by: her husband Arthur Piehl; her daughters, Heidi Lepisto (Russ) and Heather Erdman (Don); her granddaughters, Hannah Stevenson (Ben) and Samantha Timmens (Aaron); her great grandchild William Stevenson; her sisters, Kerry Verbeck (Jeff) and Billie Westervelt (Tom); and her nieces and nephews, Katie Hille (Matt), Brianna Westervelt, Kolby Verbeck and Dylan Westervelt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the General Multiple Myeloma Group.
