It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alice Chaon (Sidney, Nebraska), born in Kimball, Nebraska, who passed away on December 8, 2018, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Jane Luke of Ashtrubla, OH, Coral Rapp of Sidney and John Herboldsheimer (Karen) of Potter; her husband Donald J.; her parents, John Herboldsheimer and Tressie Herboldsheimer; her children, Donald L. and Kathleen Assad; and her sister-in-law Mary Lou Heins (Lee Heins).
She is survived by: her son Larry Chaon (Cindy); and her children-in-law, Emil Assad of Sidney and Carolyn Chaon of Hastings. She is also survived by grandchildren and (27) great-grandchildren.
Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Wednesday, December 12th from 1-7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Alice's name to Team Jack Foundation, funding research for Pediatric Brain Cancer, P.O. Box 607, Atkinson, NE 68713 or the Sidney Volunteer Fire Department.
