It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Juan L. Chavez of Shelton, Nebraska, born in Pearsall, Texas, who passed away on February 1, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Senovio Chavez and Francisca Chavez (Luna); his siblings, Manuel Chavez, Pablo Chavez and Virginia Viesca; his grandson Blake Chavez; and his great grandchild Tassidi Chavez-Buerer.
He is survived by: his wife Micaela Chavez of Shelton; his children, Juan Chavez, Jr. (Beverly) of Kearney, Alfredo Chavez of Kearney, Patricia Lanini (Frank) of Seneca, SC, Jose "Joe" Chavez (Serena) of Shelton, Michael Chavez of Shelton and Pauline Chavez of Shelton; his siblings, Miquela Vasquez of Pearsall, TX and Lucia Ramirez of Pearsall, TX; and his sister-in-law Lori Chavez of Pearsall, TX. He is also survived by several grandchildren; and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
