He was predeceased by : his parents, John Edmund and Rose Helena Gabel (Alt); his siblings, Lorraine (Ed Klein), Delores Meister (Paul) and Arnold Gabel (Ingrid); his siblings-in-law, Larry Kresha, Richard Eickmeier and Kathy Grosch; and his great grandchild Joseph Goelz.
He is survived by : his wife Rosalie Valeria Kresha of Shelby; his children, Maxine Goelz of Shelby, John Gabel (Mary Ann) of Lincoln and Steven Gabel (LaDonna) of Osceola; his grandchildren, Clinton Goelz (Lisa), Chris Goelz, Scott Goelz (Ashley), Abbie Goranson (Wes), Cassie Gustafson, Madeline, Valerie, Nathan Gabel, Amanda Prien (Sam), Jessica Millar (Colin) and Stephanie Gabel; his siblings, Eleanor Eickmeier of Stromsburg and Norman Gabel (Karen) of Osceola; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Lou Dunekacke (Lee) of Johnson, NE, Romona Smith (Ronnie) of Shelby, Carol Kresha of Osceola, Betti Ann Witulski (Steve) of Morrison, CO, Joe Kresha (Lou) of Osceola and Wayne Grosch of Dublin, Georgia. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
