He is survived by: his wife Doris Louise Oehme of Shelby; his children, Mark Bernt (Kim) of Kimball, Lisa Spitz (Rob) of Columbus and Amy Hartsock (John) of Lincoln; and his siblings, Albin Bernt of Norfolk, Elaine Burritt of Lincoln and Iona Hastings of Lincoln. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family to be designated later.
