It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Alt of Shelby, Nebraska, born in Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on September 12, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harol Lovelace and Edith Lovelace (Young); her husband Francis Alt; her siblings, Melvin Lovelace, Ronald Elton Lovelace and Lois Gaughen; and her niece Judy Paulsen.

She is survived by: her children, Steve Alt (Devine) of Murrieta, CA, Andy Alt (Annette) of Columbus, Christofer Alt (Brenda) of Shelby and Jamie Smith (Kristi) of Englewood, CO; her grandchildren, Debbie Colon, Dave Wysk, Stacey Alt, Sean Alt, Aric Alt, Aron Alt, Ashtin Balfour, Ashlea Whitney, Aleah Alt, Alexi Carlyle, Tarina Kofoed and Lacie Alt; and her niece Brenda Dolezal. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Due to current COVID-19 health mandates, practice social distancing by maintaining at least 6 feet among attendees, family, staff, and clergy.

“Sons and families of Carol. Carol was more than a friend she was a sister in Christ. She was one of 5 others that led me to the cross back in 1983, the third Sunday of September was the revival at the Columbus Nazarene Church. God grant you all peace and patience as you work through this time of mourning. Richard and Julie Graham”
