He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Steckly and Agnes Steckly (Schweitzer); his granddaughter Jessica Steckly; his son-in-law Van Temple; his brother Kenneth Steckly; and his siblings-in-law, Orlen Stauffer and Donna Stauffer.
He is survived by: his wife Zona Steckly of Seward, NE; his children, Vonda Steckly Temple of Los Lunas, NM, Brenda Wenger (Dwayne) of Bridgewater, VA and Blane Steckly (Nancy) of Milford, NE; his grandchildren, Rachel Lucas (Tyler) of Gretna, NE, Lance Wenger (Kristin) of Rockingham, VA, Kendall Wenger (Emily) of Rockingham, VA, Olivia Steckly of Lincoln, NE, Alicia Showalter (Shane) of Broadway, VA, Aaron Steckly (Bryli) of Beaver Crossing, NE and Vanessa Steckly of Lincoln, NE; his brother Maynard Steckly (Wilma) of Seward, NE; and his sister-in-law Darlene Steckly of Garden City, MO.. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
