He was predeceased by: his father Leonard Richtig; his brother Thomas Richtig; and his nephew Scott Richtig. He is survived by: his mother Rita Richtig (Yosten) of Schuyler; his wife Leesa Cooper of Seward; his children, Kristi Palensky (Justin) of Lincoln, Aaron Richtig (Taralynn) of Seward and Brittany Snyder (Adam) of Seward; his siblings, Terri Ahlborn (Barry) of Omaha, Michael Richtig (Kimberly) of Hesston, KS, Penny Minnig (Jeff) of Grand Island, Rick Richtig of Council Bluffs, IA, Joseph Richtig (Christine) of Puyallup, WA, Kenneth Richtig of Schuyler and Michelle Hood (Greg) of Lincoln; and his grandchildren, Macy, Holly Palensky, Emerson Snyder, Rowan Richtig, Delaney and Adalyn Snyder.

In lieu of flowers, statues, and plants the family asks memorials to be directed towards Family Wishes for later designation.
