He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Thompson and Greeta Thompson (Daughterty); and his sister Linda Haislup (Jim). He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Hill (Richard), Laura Thompson, Robbie Thompson and John Thompson; his grandchildren, Kalli Sanford (Logan), Nikki Hill, Rachel Hill, Marissa Hill and Mason Thompson; and his siblings, Greg Thompson (Bev) and Debbie Richards (Mark).
The family wishes memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
