She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Benes and Lillian Benes (Tvrdy); her husband Marvin Zitek; her grandson Jim Zitek; and her brother Larry Benes.
She is survived by: her children, Denise Zitek, Gary (Allison Zitek), Ulysses, Sandra (Paul Mueller), Linda (Dan Burke) of Adel, IA, Karen Zitek, Ron Zitek and Dan (Kristina Zitek) of Nortonville, KS.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Perdue Funeral Home - Seward (410 Jackson Ave, Seward, NE 68434). A rosary was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (205 6th St, Ulysses, NE 68669). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery (800 22nd Rd, Ulysses, NE 68669).
