It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorraine Marie Jirovsky of Seward, Nebraska, born in Ceresco, Nebraska, who passed away on December 13, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Hakel and Gertrude Hakel (Polak); her husband Charles Jirovsky; her grandsons, Timothy, Thomas Burns and Nicholas Pleshek; and her sister Elaine Kodad.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Hain (Richard), Laurie Olson (Bobby), Kathryn Pleshek (Barry), Julie Rotherham (Len) and Elizabeth Peery; her grandchildren, Benjamin Hain (Maellyn), Karen Mayo (Jason), Natalie Hain, Audrey Walford (Matthew), Charles Burns (Anne), Sara Burns, Nathan Pleshek (Sierra), Joshua Campbell (Kaylie), Alexander Rotherham (Amanda), Shea Adams (Joshua), Camden Peery, Michael Peery and Kyle Peery; her siblings, Kenneth Hakel (Patricia) and Charleen Ebner (Bruce); and her sister-in-law Bernadette Prochaska. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Zabka - Perdue Funeral Home - Seward (410 Jackson Ave, Seward, NE 68434-2157). A rosary was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (152 Pinewood Ave, Seward, NE 68434). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Seward Cemetery (1700 State Hwy 15, Seward, NE 68434).
